PATIEnt CODE OF CONDUCT
To ensure a safe, respectful, and efficient environment for all patients, visitors, and staff, Modern Dermatology expects the following standards of behavior from all individuals while in our office.
1. RESPECTFUL COMMUNICATION
Patients and visitors must treat staff, providers, and other patients with courtesy and respect at all times. Harassment, discrimination, threats, or abusive language (verbal or written) will not be tolerated.
2. SAFETY & COOPERATION
Patients are expected to follow all office policies, procedures, and staff instructions, including safety and infection control protocols. Any behavior that compromises the safety of others may result in immediate removal from the premises.
3. TIMELINESS & APPOINTMENTS
Patients should arrive on time for scheduled appointments. Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled to avoid disruption to other patients. Cancellations should be made with appropriate notice per office policy.
4. APPROPRIATE CONDUCT IN THE OFFICE
Disruptive behavior, including loud or inappropriate language, will not be permitted. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Personal belongings should be kept secure; the office is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
5. PAYMENT & ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Patients are expected to provide accurate insurance and personal information. Copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances are due in accordance with office policy.
6. SUBSTANCE USE & WEAPONS
The use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or being under the influence while in the office is prohibited. Weapons of any kind are not permitted on the premises.
7. PRIVACY & RECORDING
To protect patient privacy, photography, video recording, or audio recording within the office is not allowed without prior authorization.
8. CONSEQUENCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE
Failure to adhere to this policy may result in:
Verbal warning
Termination of the visit
Dismissal from the practice
Involvement of security or law enforcement, if necessary
