Devan Cargnel, DNP, FNP-BC, APRN
Devan is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care for patients of all ages. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them feel healthy, confident, and comfortable in their skin through compassionate, individualized care.
For Devan, joining Modern Dermatology is a true full-circle moment. She began her career in dermatology as a medical assistant at Modern Dermatology, where she spent several years caring for patients and discovered her passion for the specialty. Inspired by the providers she worked alongside, she returned to school to pursue advanced nursing education before completing her Family Nurse Practitioner clinical residency at Modern Dermatology. She is honored to now serve patients as a Nurse Practitioner within the same practice where her journey in dermatology first began.
Devan earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner degrees from Fairfield University. Throughout her graduate education, she maintained a 4.0 GPA and was recognized with the Fairfield University Egan School of Nursing Outstanding Academic Achievement Award in recognition of her exceptional scholastic achievement.
Committed to lifelong learning and professional involvement, Devan is an active member of the Connecticut Dermatology NPPA Society, the Connecticut APRN Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. She remains dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care while continuing to advance her knowledge in the ever-evolving field of dermatology.
Outside of the office, Devan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, staying active, and making memories with her fiancé and their two dogs, Houston and Binx.
