Modern Dermatology is pleased to introduce Clear + Brilliant Touch to our roster of laser treatments! We are the second office in all of CT to offer this next generation laser, which delivers a more customized and comprehensive treatment that allows us to treat patients with two wavelengths (1440 nm / 1927 nm) during a single appointment.
What is Clear + Brilliant
Clear + Brilliant is an FDA-approved laser resurfacing treatment designed to rejuvenate or prejuvenate the skin by addressing early signs of facial aging. It has been nicknamed the “Baby Fraxel” as it delivers similar/same wavelengths, but with far less downtime – a few hours of redness vs. days or weeks…and no peeling. We like to think of Clear + Brilliant as a maintenance/prevention treatment, and Fraxel as more of a corrective one.

How it Works
The Clear + Brilliant laser‘s energy works by creating millions of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin, which stimulates collagen production during the natural healing process and helps to shed damaged skin cells. As the skin heals, new, healthy looking skin cells will take their place for a rejuvenated complexion. Through a series of treatments patients notice improved skin texture, tone and pigmentation.
What to Expect:
Your treatment begins with application of a topical numbing cream to the treatment area
One of our Registered Nurses or Board Certified Dermatologists will gently guide the Clear + Brilliant® handpiece across the treatment area and actively treat your skin
A series of treatments is required (typically 3-6) – after your consultation we will tailor a plan for your skin concerns and goals
Most patients start to notice softer and brighter skin within a week or two after their first treatment – results can last for months depending on age, skin condition and how well you protect your skin
Sun avoidance and protection is critical for the two weeks following each treatment
