Modern Dermatology offers Mohs Micrographic Surgery, as well as excisions of malignant and benign lesions, ear piercing repairs, and other surgical procedures.
Mohs surgery is considered the most effective technique for treating many basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs), the two most common types of skin cancer. Dr. Robinson is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Cosmetic and Laser surgeon with a specialized interest in Mohs surgery.
The procedure is done in stages: removal, microscopic analysis and reconstruction. Typically, all three of these stages occur within one appointment and are done while you wait comfortably in our dedicated Mohs waiting room. The Mohs Surgery allows the removal of all cancerous cells for the highest cure rate, while sparing healthy tissue and leaving the smallest possible scar.
